Flights to Romania

Does any one know of any low cost airlines that fly to Romania?

If you mean from the UK, there don't seem to be any budget airlines. I looked at June for examples - BA fly direct in 3hrs 15mins for approx �201 and various European Airlines fly indirectly in 4.5 - 5.5 hrs for approx �151

Wizz Air fly from Luton to Bucharest:

They normally use Baneasa airport but between 10/05 and 31/07 Baneasa is closed and flights are transferred to Otopeni airport. For some random dates I've just tried in June, single flights were all priced between �39.99 and �59.99

Wizz Air's flights are probably the cheapest you'll find but you might want to check the fares with Romania's national carrier, Tarom:

The Wizz Air prices quoted are excl taxex. Final total of a flight priced as 39.99 one way & 49.99 return come to �145 so they look like the cheapest definitely.

I checked Tarom earlier but dismissed them as they were more expensive than BA.
