wooden window frames.
i am looking for information of making wooden window frames. I can manage most thing in wood in my workshop but can't find 'plans' for wooden window frames. Web is not much help as almost every hit up with ''Window' and I know about operating systems.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the web again and yes buildersmate I do have lots of time on my hands as I have been retired for many years with a well equipped workshop. I have built a couple or racing dinghies and maintained an old wooden boat but never tried to make a new window frame for my house and I don't like PVC much
Go for it Jos 1 but please remember that new windows now have to conform with shed loads of minium specs to comply with the new building regs. Check with your local building inspector before you start making them to see if they comply. Also, you will need to get a certificate from the building reg office to comply with part L of the new regs, this should cost about �55.oo. This is in case you sell your house at a later date and is mandatory.
