They always are as far as I know! I had many ovarium cysts and luckily I didn't need a surgery, but I DID need medication, which I took and seems that the cyst got dissolved in the blood.
Please go to the doctors as soon as possible, you are NOT wasting their time, it's your body, your health, and you have to be concerned. If they make you feel like you are wasting their times, I reckon you should maybe change doctors?
Careful also about finding information on the internet, you have many good and reliable websites, but others are just rubbish. Unfortunately I don't know of any website that I could indicate to you but I am sure other Ab users will be able to help. Let us know how is it going!!

Any changes in your breast should be reported to your doctor. I'm guessing that you think you dont want to go so soon after last time?
If you hadnt been wioth the cyst and found a lump that turned red and warm would you go? Of course you would.
Phone then Monday morning, you're not wasting their time, its their job
Good luck, I'm sure everything will be fine, but check to make sure

Hi,
After I found some small lumps in my breast they gave me an ultrasound and told me it was cysts. At the hospital the doctor also said that they don't do anything for them. I think maybe they might do something if they were very big and uncomfortable. It's probably different with ovarian cysts as they can press on lots of things and cause pain and problems.
When you go to the doctors about the red lump you could check with them about what they recommend about the cyst, just to make sure.
Good luck.

cysts are treated. After a mamogram and scan, fine needle aspiration is done if necessary. This is fairly painless (i had it done 3 times now). A really fine needle is inserted into the cyst and fluid is withdrawn. It can all be done in one visit, with no further treatment needed unless the cyst refills. I understand it is very dependant on those blasted hormones whether you will suffer with cysts in this area. The have to be about 5cm before they can be drained. Hope this helps.
