I'm going to Russia what food can i expect to have?

Fantastic dairy produce from yoghurty drinks called kefir to fabulous but mild cheeses. Excellent Czech beer (piva). Good vegetable based dishes -Bortsch or cabbage soup being the most famous. There isn't a tradition of great meat dishes there in spite of the reputation of strognanoff. Terrific breads in all shapes and varieties including rye bread. Caviar and champagne, naturally. A wide variety of fish dishes. You'll find the safest choices in the big hotels in the major cities such as Moscow. Breakfast in the Hotel Rossia in Moscow is recommended and they do great beer too!
