chalky dog poo

my 8 month old cross breed puppy has been fed the same complete dried dog food for about 5 months and he gets treats like pigs ears and paddy wack a few times a week . his poo has always been of 'normal' consistency and yesterday was the same but this morning he's had 2 very dry chalky poos! there's nothing else wrong with him, any ideas??

Has he had a bone of any sort? This usually makes them do chalky poos. Give it a day or so and if he is straining them take him to the vet in case he has got something blocking him up (probably not, but just to be on the safe side).
