first day at school

do you remember your first day at school ? did you cry when your parents left you or did you not mind ? i cried i remember .feels like only yesterday but was 30 years ago god that makes me feel old lol just asking this for some thing to say :0bit slow on here now

oh poor you :) i never got hit at school by teacher . my school was nice really a a small village school we.had great school dinners .

It was my first day at nursey and i cried my eyes out that was 33 years ago.

Oh i remember having the pump on my back side when i was 10 by the teacher.
I will have to ask Ethel if i could put a claim in ETHEL where are you ?

Even though all things were shocking in them days ie cane/slipper/ruler.
It didnt do us any harm,im not saying it was right but we had more respect than the kids of today.

I dont know the answer as to what we could do caz1975
but the children today have it easy.
Just the way they dress is enough it was very strict where i went , that to was a catholic school to.

i think that teachers that are friendly but firm get more respect . than ones that are really strict .

what a coincedence,my daughter lives quite a way from me , i was quite young when i had her,she is a nanny and the children are growing up rapidley , tonight she said mum i feel old, but at the same time realises what a pain she was at that age

I remember clearly seeing my mum waving through the classroom window as she walked away, and starting to cry. The teacher, Mrs Jones, sat me on her knee, and I remember all the other children looking at me, and feeling uncomfortable, as well as upset. I was 4, and I'm fifty-two now, so the memory has lingered somewhat!
