London saw cut off a paw
7 Answers
Just answered Rabbit on this weeks Giles and remembered that there is a rabbit (rabet) saw and rabbit paws are supposed to be lucky (not for the rabbit). London would be capital and rabet saws are used to produce capitals.
However, someone has suggested rabbit as the answer for 40 - don't mention this on Portland (not an answer I understand - could any one explain this to me ?
I am now missing 25 county of elgin etc, 42 Frank Bainimarama, 45 Brewed in Blandford, 68 now you see me etc, 73 one contained 3 hands etc, 88 Satan of the apple isle, 98 Dubai 20 etc.
Any help gratefully recieved.

As for the Portland rabbit question, this link should clarify it:

Thanks for all of those smouse, I knew that I had missed several really easy (with hindsight) answers and have duly kicked myself. I have searched the site several times prior to this post and did not see the answers I needed discussed, so finally gave in after my moment of (uninspired but plausible) inspiration and asked. I am still not convinced by Springbok so will leave it for a while before sending in. If I think of any answer I promise to share it.
