I've got a Barclays Bank Additions Account and have just found out that one of the benefits is Pet Insurance. I didn't know this as I've never received any info thru detailing the Benefits. I've looked online and it says that due to customer feedback the Pet Insurance scheme finished in Feb. My cat was very ill over Xmas and had lots of vetinary care and medication etc. if I had known about this I would have claimed it if possible. Do you think it would be possible to claim now being as though I paid the account fee then and can prove vets costs etc.?

The benefits of the extra fee for this account are generally not worth the bother (like free phone insurance which you already have in your phone package). Change it to an ordinary current account and save yourself whatever fee they are charging now.
And yes, you can claim for up to six years after the event.

Thanks, I hear what your saying. I know I pay for it but I get Green Flag motoring assistance from the Additions account which has got me out of trouble on a number of occasions! I'm going to try and find out about the cat question as the animal cost me a bloody fortune over Xmas!!!
the pet insurance part was discontinued at the beginning of the year. as far as i'm aware it is no longer available.
