This user name business ...

How do people know some users are going by another name ,is it certain knowledge ( and if so, how ), guesswork based on the phrase-ology or something else I'm missing ?
I find it difficult at times to follow a thread when reference is made to a reply ,using a name other than the one that is stated ( does that make sense ? )

Some people ask a question under username 1, answer it under username 2 (when no-one else does), and then pop up again as username3 to say 'hey - good answer username2 - I completely agree with you'.
Such people are desparately lonely, and should not be approached.

And I am also Spartacus. Instead of one ABer with several user names we now have several ABers with one username. An AB first I believe!
