Mercedes C200 Kompressor W203 2001 Key Fob

Does anyone know how to programme a new key fob for the above model car without having to "inconvenience" the local main dealer and hand them with a large quantity of cash for what should be a two - three minute job. I have already changed the batterys to the correct grade.
But still won't let me start but the red light does come on in the corner of the fob

i dont think there are many places other then mercedes that will do it for you,but google it and see,you never know
