I have just got four gold fish from the garden centre .and there are still are the bottom off the pound are there ok

Whatever you do....don't throw a few maggots in.....i really can't believe some of the dangerous advice dished out to people on here.

Give the fish time, feed a small pinch of flake once a day and make sure some of it sinks down to where the fish are. Do you have plenty of plants for the fish to hide in....the more hiding places they have, the less threatened they will feel. After a while, the fish should start to come out. Sit back quietly without pets and kids running around and watch them for an hour or so to see if they're coming out at all.
