I remember an awful TV 'comedy' series, (on a par with 'On the Buses'), where Windsor Davies would half turn away, stick out a hand palm upwards behind him, cough politely, and say 'I'll be leaving you now,Sir'. I cannot remember the name of the show, and, strangely, can't find it listed in his biography. I think it was something to do with running a hotel.
Windsor Davies played the sergeant-major in 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum', and made several recordings with Don Estelle, including the hit, 'Whispering Grass'
