Has anyone else dog decided its time to get rid of that winter coat?

Max my long haired gsd has been casting for a while now, I groom him twice a day and that much hair comes out its a wonder the poor boy isn't bald

I know! Where does it all come from?! As paddywak says, so much comes off mine that I don't know how he still has a coat!
We haven't got round to putting a carpet in our house yet, but if I collected a week's worth of Jack hair (medium-coated 2 and a half year old Border Collie) I could probably weave my own!

I dont think my labrador has a winter/summer coat change as she sheds all year round , every second of the day!!!!!!
My hoover is never unplugged.
