I am thinking of building a petrol station, and I wonder if anyone out there, can tell me the technique that petrol station owners use to site their petrol pumps? - since wherever they put them, they always seem to strike petrol.

just walk round with a naked flame and hold it close to the ground.

If the flame gets bigger you know you've found gas and there may be petrol right undr your feet!

Be carefull of straying into any oxygen rich atmospheres though as it could result in singed eye brows!
Best laugh I've had all morning and I've been up since 12.19
Or if they are Morrisons or Tesco's they strike silicon too.
Look for a field full of oil derricks and buy the land next door to them
