If a transfer of funds was made from a personal account held at Barclays today to my account, also held at barclays, how long will it take to reach my account

As it's the same bank, it will probably take around 1-2 days, and if it was two different banks, it would probably take 3-4 days.

Probably as long as they think they can get away with. I used to have an account with NatWest. My employers used the same bank and same branch. My wages were paid out of my employer's account on Tuesday but did not arrive into my account until Thursday.
