I was thinking of getting a tan at a salon for the first time but I don't know anything about it. Do you have to go back several times to have the tan built up like with fake tans that you buy in the shop? How long do they normally last and roughly how much do they usually cost?

Thanks. xx

I've had them done a few times in salons and they generally cost about 30 or thereabouts. They do one covering, you leave it to develop, and if it is not dark enough they will put another layer on for free the next day.

After those initial applications, it is 10 for a weekly topup
at r place they vary from 20 (St Tropez)..they offer a 1 layer, a 2 or a 3 depending on the darkness. usually they are spray tans so u stand in a booth & you strip off and they give u a disposable thong. its really straight forward. and if its too much to keep up, why not buy the St Tropez Everyday tan to keep it up, it will be cheaper to do it that way & ive heard its really good!x
I drove past Aintree races today and all the women were bloody bright orange! Dont go mad it looks rediculous.
