passport validity

My passport expires on the 9th December 07. I am travelling to the canaries on 2nd June 07 and returnin10th June 07. Is my passport still valid

Of course it's still valid - it is valid until the 9th December when it expires!.

Did you mean to ask whether you need 6 months on your passport to travel to the Canaries? The Canaries belong to Spain so it is the same as visiting Spain. No problem with the passport you have.

for some countries passport has to have 6 months validity left. think Spain is ok but best check with the travel agent or consulate.

If in any doubt why not renew your passport? You can do this up to nine months before it runs out and any remaining time on your old passport is credited to your new one. http://www.passport.gov.uk/passport_renewing_w hen.asp

we went to tenariffe not long ago for 2 weeks and my mrs only had 2 months left, no problems
