can anyone clarify for me, why is post to BFPO forces in Afghanistan (Of which my little sister is about to be posted) have to be paid for as aparently we aren't at war with them we're only peacekeeping. I don;t see much sign of this with the Taleban murdering our soldiers on a regular basis. If she were going to Iraq that would be free. I feel very strongly about this, is this correct and if so what can I do to voice my feelings to someone?

When I was in the forces, posted in combat zones, mail to us was 3p old money, mind you, that was in the 60s and 70s.
These charges are disgusting.
