I was just wondering if having been under a general anaesthetic, and taken 3 different types of medication can delay your period?

Thanks

Im not an expert but I think a period can be delayed by about 40 weeks, it's usual cause is called pregnancy
all sorts of things can delay a period, the stress from a major op is one of them.

If your period is late and theres a possibility of pregnancy then take a pregnancy test.

yes thanks john, I'm aware of that but I'm not pregnant. Which is why I ask about the other things.

Cheers Red.
Just a bit of jovial banter loukr
why not ask your Dr or the sugical team that carried out the op?
the medication might have a part to play in it or the stress of anything you have gone through loukr. See if you can check out the meds, have a read up on them and it might give you some idea. netdocter is a good site for details of all medicines.
