Everytime I log onto my computer I get a message indicating that there is something new called SCSI Adaptor, I dont know what it is but I probably was trying to install it but anyway, when I look for it to remove it under "Add or remove programs" it doesnt come up! How can I get rid of it? Its not properly installed but the popup from my wizard everytime I log on is annoying!

I once had an scsi card installed for an external disc drive so you may find it under add/remove hardware as opposed to software. From what i have been told it is basically like a tuner card or graphics card that plugs into one of your pci slots at the back.
Open Control Panel >System >Hardware >Device Manager
Open each of the sub sections which are now listed and look for something such as 'unidentified device', or anything similar, or a yellow symbol next to something.
If you find anything (and you should), right click on it and select 'Uninstall' . If the device is not needed, Windows will then ignore it. If it is needed, Windows will look for the correct driver to install.
