is Peloponnese any where near athens? champs league final
I want to go to athens for the champs league final on 23rd May. traveling from Manchester the cheapest i can get flights at the mo is �205 per person via ffurt 22nd - 25th.
already got the week of work and can get a week in Peloponnese 20th - 27th for �371 self catering but where is pelponnese?
any one got any other ideas for cheap travel to the game?
dont care about luxury but am on a tight budget - the cheaper the better!

Peloponnese has an area of over 8000 sqare miles. (It's roughly 130 miles from north to south and 100 miles from east to west). If the holiday you mention is based at the eastern side, near to Corinth, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to travel to Athens. However, it might be much harder from some of the small coastal resorts further way. (Although, if you hire a car, it should be feasible).
