Is there a gap between the grid of pipes at the rear and the wall? is the pipe grid warm or hot?
has it been bumped, or knocked hard ?
What brand is the fridge?
does it seem to be running all the time, or very often?

No, we moved into a house and had the fridge as part of the deal so weve had it since we were here which is a year and its done it for all that time hence dont know its history!!?
As for the actual fridge it looks in excellent condition not damaged in any way the only thing that may be of importance is the fridge is built into a unit with cupboards and a work top on top, there is a small gap between the worktop and the top of the fridge which obviously feels warm. I can imagine this is because this is the only way the fridge can breathe. But I do wonder is it because of the fact the fridge is compact in and not able to cool down properly?
