age of working in a bar

can a 16 year old work in a bar glass collecting when everyone in the pub has to be eighteen or older to drink in there

Legally you are allowed to work in a pub at 16 but only glass collecting and you are not allowed to step behind the bar. Obviously you arent allowed to serve drinks (alcoholic or not) and it is down to the manager to take responsiblilty for you.
If you can get a job in a restaurant/pub would be better for you as you are allowed to waitress from 14yrs old.
