sun protection?

Do wetsuits offer any sun protection? Iv bought my 5 year old son one, and was just wondering if i still need to apply suncream? Many thanks for any responses...

usually you don't need sun cream if your skin isn't exposed to the sun so when he's wearing his wetsuit he would be okay, although put it on his face and other ares that may not be covered by the wetsuit. If in doubt though apply the sun cream anyway, it won't do any harm!

You will not tan through a wetsuit but it gets very hot in there so be careful, plenty of water...etc. Also any parts which are exposed, hands, feet and head will still get burnt so will need protection on these parts. Hope that helps?
