I've got the sims and have installed it, but when I try to play the game the loading screen comes up but when it's all loaded and is about to go into the game it just exits and goes back to the desktop. Anyone know why or how I can stop this please? It's a proper disk, not a copy, and it's not damaged. I also have enough memory on my computer.

Have you made sure you have the right graphics card? Also you may have something, for instance, anti virus software that pops up a little message and that closes the games on my computer. Also, what software does your computer run off, because if its something older, Windows 98 for example, some newer games can't run because they are designed for newer computers. Hope this was some help.

I have no idea if I've got the right graphics card, other than it worked before when i loaded it.

I tried disabling my anti-virus software (AVG grisoft thing) and running it, but it didn't work. I also tried disabling it when i installed, but still no luck.

I'm using Windows XP too.
