Record and tape transfer to CD!

A taxi driver told me you could buy a machine that will transfer records and tapes to CD, via USB. It was advertised in one of the papers for 150. Any idea what this is called or where I can get one?!

Don't bother bying a USB device. Connect the headfone socket on your stereo to the microphone socket on your pc (all for about 2) and use nero or similar software (google recording software free) to transfer your tapes. Pound to a pinch of poo your stereo is a better quality tape player than the usb device.
