The first 12 weeks were completely knackering, I was like the walking dead! The good news is that it does get better, or maybe you just get used to it.
I have been trying to keep it at bay by avoiding junk food and eating lots fruit/veg, healthy carbs & lean protein. Putting on excess weight will put further strain on your body & make you more tired so try to do some gentle exercise every day. I walk to and from work (1 mile each way), try to go swimming once a week and use the weight machines at the gym on the lowest weight setting.
Being conscientious about weight-gain will also help to minimise stretch-marks but there really is nothing you can do to stop them. I haven't got any at the moment but I read that they normally strike at about 30 weeks so I've only got a week left! Just use a moisturiser to keep your skin supple and take it easy.
Good luck

Hi there Loopy Lou 21
You'll be please to know theres a way to prevent those stretch marks! theres a new bottle of miracle called BIO-OIL it has advertised on telly and magazines etc. 3 of my friends have used it 2 of whom didnt get one strech mark during their pregnancy, its formulated to elasticate the skin alitlle more ready to stretch and reduce any other stretch marks you might have. I use it myself after putting on and losing weight you could never tell i had them x you can get the average sized bottle for around 8.95 . hope this helps x

Best advise for tiredness is to rest. Stretchmarks, keep tummy, butt, and thighs moisturised, bio oil wasnt around for my first two kids but is it now. It is good although i didnt use it for stretchmarks. I just used wheatgerm oil. I think some people are lucky with how stretchy their skin is naturally. I have had three kids 2 of them 8 1/2 pounds and only got two stretchmarks. Enjoy!
