Wife Swap 22/04
Anyone watch Wife Swap last night?
Great episode i thought.... although i thought that man was absolutely ghastly, almost unwatchable!!!! And i would have been tempted to slap him myself after the way he grabbed hold of her and patronised her throughout her rule changes.
Began disliking the couple from Brighton especially after hearing they leave there 15 year old daughter alone most of the time, which i still think is wrong!
But that other couple from the country were nothing short of EVIL! The way they poison their lovely daughters mind about school especially after she had such a great time (just because they had bad experiences). They use really spiteful tactics to make her feel bad and almost like a trator for enjoying something they werent involved in.
Not sure if any of you watched the aftermath on E4 but she looked scared stiff after watching it back in front of her parents especially after saying "'home education' is sometimes boring", her mother looked at her with the evils "Boring is it? Going Ice Skating? Having fun" etc etc etc.
Anyway, i could go on forever! What did u make of it?

I do think that the club owners learned a lot more than the other couple, and were prepared to alter their lifestyle a bit after - ie spending more time as a family. But the couple who didnt want their daughter to go to school - well he was just plain odd. When it was suggested to him that they needed to spend the odd night without their daughter, and go out for a meal etc he just looked plain baffled!!
I'm the same Miss Inquiry - He was soooo frustrating and just a plain cowardless LIAR! Trying to say how he didnt say NO and wanted to negotiate with her!?! WHAT?!?! It was blantantly evident that he said NO when they watched it back.
Horrible parents isolating their daughter from the world.
Was so glad the psychologist pointed out how dismissive and disrespectful his stupid faces and actions were throughout the whole programme.

Poor kid, probaly get preggers to the first boy she ever spends time alone with (thats if shes ever allowed out unchaparoned (sp) x
oh i agree nat!! it was unreal!!
loved the aftermath show and i agree with what you said about the daughter of the country couple - she did looked scared when they asked her about what she said about the home schooling being boring
and as for the fathers thing about "well would you burn your child with a candle to teach them pain?" that was just rubbish!!!
and - how old did you think the brighton mother was? i couldn't work it out??

lol rom - yes that candle burning example was just STUPID!!!
As for brighton table dancing mum - i thought she was awful at first but she did follow the rules and i think she came across really well during the show and at the Aftermath. I dont think i wouldve even have been to look at that man again - he was like a child! oh actually i really didnt liek Brighton mum when she said to the little girl "dont call me mum!" - thought that was really uncalled for...!
i think her hubby was a decent bloke too although i still dont agree that they shouldve left their daughter alone at 15 yrs old for such long periods of time. But as mentioned above they were willing to adjust their lifestyle and make changes - unlike freaky country couple.
