Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Thinking about my 'own goal' this morning reminded me of a post a few years back where an Aber likened some senior members among us to Premiership football teams. I can't recall them all, and the post was removed as some of the suggestions were dodgy. but I was Arsenal!
The citation read ' scores some brilliant goals but is subject to lapses in concentration and is injury prone!
I do however remember that Quizmonster was Man U.for year in year out class and domination and I think Crofter was Liverpool, and Quizmonkey was Chelsea but I better not explain why!
So an own goal was not too surprising!

K, how long has AB been in existence. I consider myself an old timer having been a member for a couple of years but maybe I'm still a new kid on the block!

Yes, well you deserve your place among the greats, K. The names you mention mean more to me than the teams - I once went to a football match and vowed never again! that must have been sixty years ago.

Having signed on with AB as recently as Nov. 2005, I have a long way to go. Google is my best friend!

Alibobs I think Shaney is our most senior (in terms of membership years) as she goes back to the days before Answerbank when it was Chatterbank.

K, I was desperate to know what you had done so scrolled back!

If it's any consolation it is good for the rest of us to know you have your moments!!!!

One of my biggest problems when completing crosswords is thinking of a connection, assuming it's right then totally focussing on that!!! Sometimes I need to take a step back, many's the time when I go back to a puzzle an hour or two later and the answer hits me straight away ( and many's the time it doesn't!)
