Nice-nice?
4 Answers
Hi All, I am thinking of booking a short 5 day get away with a few girlfriends (aged 23-25) in a few weeks and I am looking into Nice in France. Has anyone been and what were your opinions of it. Is it quite expensive? Where would you recommend to stay, i.e. the best location etc...
Any help would be appreciated!

I wouldn't stay in Nice itself - if you're hiring a car stay in Cannes or just outside at La Napoule or up towards Juans Les Pins. You'd spoil it if you stayed in one place for the five days there really is loads to see.
If you want any more info - let me know.
Eating out can be expensive - but everywhere has menus outside so you can see the prices before you walk in.

Nice is a but towny and lots of traffic. It is a decent place to see and walk around when the market is on. Cannes is nicer and I found it not too expensive. Monaco is excellent for a trip and far exceeded my expectations. The best thing is that these plces are all on the same trainline and very close. You can even take the train to other parts of France and Italy. I could easily fill up 5 days with interesting things to do.
