Hayfever (Part 2)

Ok, so I bought Boots Hayfever Relief as it is Non Drowsy and I got back to work, took two spoonsfuls and checked the box and it says 'For itchy/Runny noses and skin hives'!!!! I told the woman at the counter what I had and she gave me this!!!! It doesn't have any of my symptoms on there.. which is Tickly cough and sore eyes! No runny nose, no itchy nose.... No hives!!!

Does anyone else get those symptoms (Sore eyes and tickly cough) and know it is hayfever?

you should have just got some antihistamine tablets. take one a day.

yes hun these are symptons of hayfever that boots crap wont do you any good, get some piriton if you do start itiching, tickly cough try soothers and sore eyes some eye drops,
i suffer with hayfever it hasnt kicked in yet and hopefully it wont touch wood

i have to have the highest does of hayfever tablets from my gp, and had to have the injection one you because my eys swelled up that bad x

thats fine, it means its for hayfever and those other symptoms. As long as its an antihistamine then it will releive your allergy symptoms.

If you eyes are very sore then make sure you wear glasses or sunglasses when out and also try not to be out early in morning or around dusk as this is when pollen rises and falls.

and Ive used boots own tablets for 3 years now and they do work for me.

Thanks guys! I will keep taking these cr@ppy Boots ones for today and see what they do. They are non drowsy and have antihistmine stuff so... I will see!

Yep I agree with stylinsam, try piriton, the itchy eyes are a givaway sign it's hay fever, when rape-seed rears it's ugly head, I want to gouge my eyeballs out and throw them away.

as redcrx said antihistamine would cover itchy/runny noses and hives caused by allergy too. I would trust it to be the right stuff, but dont expect miracles, in my experince it takes a while to kick in x

Rubes, Opticrom eye drops are brill. only buy the small one because once you break the seal unless you are washing your whole eyeball in a bowl you will be unlikely to finsh all bottle in the time limit.
You might have a specific pollen allergy I do to Willow trees only, a week or two and it's over. When you finish the Boots stuff renew with Piriton liquid.

My eyes aren't itchy though... Just sore now and then... but the same kind of soreness as when I had Sinusitis after Christmas! I thought maybe it was that coming back but if it was, then I'd have a stuffy nose!
Oh I don't know... I think I am falling apart!
