I have a shockingly poor short term memory. Whilst I don't want to buy Dr Bruno Furst's amazing memory book as advertised for the past millenia in every newspaper/ mag in the UK, but I know there are exercises and methodologies you can use to improve your recall skills. Anyone able to recommend a good book on the subject. I'll try to remember to check for answers...

I also forget some things easily, ie something I have to do. I try to imagine myself doing a regular activity and then thinkg about the thing I have to do. For example, if I need to remember to take my phone to work (and have left it on charge in another room) I would imagine taking my morning shower and then suddenly leaping out to get my phone taking a moment to imaging how I would feel and how silly it would look. It doesn't always make me remember exactly what I have to remember but I usually get a feeling that I have forgotten something and work up to it from there! One funny occation was trying to remember a video for a friend I wrote a not on my hand and then joked that I would proably wash it off later in the day an forget. I did actually wash it off by accedent before I got home but when I was washing my dishes I was reminded of the joke I had made and remebered the video! Hope this helps, Hamish
