perfume scam

Just been told there is a scam going on in most towns, patricularly in supermarket carparks. A couple tell a woman (who is alone ) that they have designer perfume to sell at half price,then ask the woman to try the sniff cards they have,it is "ether", and while she is slightly out of it they take her bag/purse,credit cards. Has anyone heard of this,or is the scam my workmates taking the pee out of me.

there is an email circulating but it is a load of rubbish. I am sure your work mates not taking the pee out of you just think sometimes people see these things and worry that if they did not pass them on then imagine it happened to someone so pass it on just in case. There was a website forwarded to me but cant find at the mo that highlights all the emails like these that are scams and this is one.

not so much a myth - it happened in swansea in the car park of the shopping centre bit...its clever but bloody scary!

You sniff some half price perfume, next thing you know the shop assistant is whipping your cash away.
