Very many thanks indeed. From my knowledge of Arabic I got "shaduf" but I'm sure shadoof is correct. I've since been told 39 is "Butterfly". Know nothing about Scuba so many thanks to those in the know.

Is 62 definitely 9 letters? A nautilus has a jet called a hyponome.

Yes, 9 letters for 62.......I discarded hyponome because it's only 8 letters.

Butterfly is a swimming stroke, so it would qualify as an answer.
