Hi tpw536w,Stuck myself really,meant to ask that one as well.The bank of England renewed the Royal Charter in 1781 and it got named Public Exchequer then,but I'm not sure that is what the quiz setter is after.Perhaps we'd better ask all ABers?Sorry I wasn't much help.
