Threatening my teenage daughter.

My children have been having problems with another child on the school bus, yesterday the father of the other child went to the bus stop and cussed out my 14 year old daughter. The last thing he said before walking away was " I'll kill you you f-ing c---!. We called the police but they dont seem to think this is serious enough for them. What else can we do?

This is threatening behaviour and to come from an adult to a minor is intolerable. I would contact the police again and insist that they take a statement. If they refuse send a letter asking why this is not serious enough for them to act upon, when it is an adult that is doing the threatening. Once statements are taken they have to act upon them. Have a long conversation with your kids before you do that though, make sure it happened exactly as they say it did. Sometimes the police will not act if it is a "tit for tat". ie your kids were just as abusive.

Police came and took a statement. They also took a list of all witness. One of our neighbor's kids was also scared when he got home, so his dad went and found the man, says he's very large and intimidating and we should not confront him ourselves. My daughter is afraid to walk to the bus stop because she thinks he is going to run her down. Dont know what else to do?
