Why are dogs noses wet? I know it is supposed to be a sign that they are healthy, but if thats the case how come ours aren't wet?

I asked why they are wet - I know we aren't dogs.
google gave me this - I looked it up because I was interested. This explains why they are not always wet and it would seem because its not a sweat gland for us so we haven't evolved tounges long enough
