do you all remember the boy on bike hovis advert? well my boyfriends dad is the boy on the bike! carl barlow! does anyone know how i can get hold of the advert?

I am probably completely wrong here, but I always thought that was filmed in Lyme Regis, Dorset????????

says Shaftesbury, Dorset on most websites, is that near Lyme Regis?

it was filmed on gold hill, shaftesbury, dorset. and it was done by ridley scott. i know on most website that you read it will say that the boy on the bike grew up to be a fireman (which is true) and he lives with his wife and 2 daughters, but he also has 2 sons as well. i should know the eldest is my boyfriend. they have never been close and havent seen each other in years! and i have never met him either! i dont want anyone thinking i was making this up!!!

Not really - shaftesbury is at the top of Dorset and Lyme Regis, the bottom.

But now you said it, it does look like Shaftesbury.

if you type in hovis advert into google it comes up with pictures of the location for the filming.

The filming location (director Ridley Scott of Aliens fame etc.!) was on Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
