My wife is considering getting a moped.Only a 50cc thing.She has had a full car license since 1992,can she ride a ped on this license or will she need to get a different one.If she can does she have to pass a test within a time period.she has only mentioned about it tonight so am just fishing for abit of info.ta all .....Neil

Full car licences issued before 1st Feb 2001 automatically give you a full moped (max. 31mph, 50cc) licence. You could ride without L plates, even endanger a passenger, all without taking any training. However, training is recommended.
