The Simpsons wondering.
2 Answers
When I first saw The Simpsons in the 90's I was instantly a massive fan and still think the early episodes are among the best entertainment ever in human history. Then, all of a sudden they seemed to become absolutely uselessly unfunny shows, almost overnight, in my opinion. In fact, I stopped watching them altogether and if I ever did happen to catch a new episode from time to time, I still found them annoying. However, recently I've seen a couple of episodes which weren't too bad, I'm not sure what series they were from. Where there perhaps different writers at one stage and newer ones now. Does anyone agree with me, or can anyone shed light on what's gone on in the show recently?

I think the Simpsons were absolutely brilliant in the beginning, and all of us who are fans must have been caught up short on occasions when one of them has said or done something that we horribly recognise as being a trait of our own.
Frankly, I still watch them because I'm endeared to the characters, but they wouldn't have lasted if the first shows had been of the quality they now are. I just get the feeling that the writers have nothing more of worth to say.
