Designer way vacation club

Does any one know anything about Designer way vacation club? Someone I know was trying to sell a time share they have had for 2 years the Paid �7500 They were invited to a seminar and pressured into signing a contract for a Holiday Club, �15,000, they took the time share as half the money & my colleague was asked to pay another �7500 with the promise they would receive �15000 back in five years. They were there five hours and pressured into signing this document, as the only way to get anything back for the time share. They paid �500 deposit on credit card and she now owes them �7000 I have told her not to pay this money and she sent a letter of cancellation within 10 days, She is terrified as they said on the day there is no cooling off period and if you don't pay we will do nothing for two years and them come to you and you will owe us all the interest on top. The company was a marketing agent of Designer way vacation club so does any one no the legal position.

If you google for them you'll find no-one (except their own web site) has a good word to say for them.

Not sure of the legal position but it's unlikely they will be around in 2 years - these holiday 'clubs' tend to have short lives.

Was the seminar here or in resort?
