Im planning on going on a short city break next january. I was wondering when is the best time to book it so that i get a good deal. i do not want to wait till the last minute as it is going to be a birthday surprise for my girlfriend. so i want it to be perfect. thanks

If you're booking your own flights and your own hotel I'd book the earliest you can. Don't hesitate in asking for a really good room with a view while you've got the choice.

remember that there's a reasonable chance Prague will be under a foot of snow that time of year... but you'll probably be planning some indoor activities, I expect.
