Internet Explorer Problem

I wonder if any one else is having the same problem as I am with : either my I.S.P. or I.E6/7?

as you can see I can move around inside "answerbank!" links but, to get to answerbank I have to load it from "my favourites" This happens after I have launched IE and got the message "the page cannot be displayed" etc etc.
RESULT : no websites attainable from my browser.
Any body got any ideas please.
p.s my ISP is orange, (but not for too much longer) at this time. I am looking to migrate but the "elusive" M.A.C. code IS VERY ELUSIVE. thanks
