Can ANYONE help......I need to get another job but am limited to what I can do as I have a 10 year old. I currently work in a school which fits in well with my child, but because of a new "Tony Blair" ruling I cannot get extra hours. I was thinking that an ideal solution would be to work from home.....but.....how/where do I start? There are SO many "cons" out there! I need to earn about 300 + a month (not tons of dosh) more would be excellent. My hours are secure where I work now but there is slight bad feelings because of the situation over Level 2/3 training which I do not have, and did not have 5 years ago when I started my job. Can anyone give me any pointers? or advice? Please.

In a similar situation myself.....

Have you thought about Avon, Kleeneze, Betterware, Truly Madly Baby, Ann Summers, The Body Shop, Virgin Vie, etc etc?

thank you for your suggestions they are much appreciated and I will be looking into these. I have spoken to my "boss" today and have told her that if she can give me "guarantee" 2 more sessions I will consider doing my Level 2 and she is looking into this and we are going to talk again on Monday .......... Thank you for your post.
You should seek to improve your qualifications. You cannot progress without them in a school.

hello

this may not be exactly what you ar ethinking of but have you considered 'ebay'. if, you haven't or you already have used it, have a think about it. i started off, my clearing the house for redecoration by listing all the unwanted on ebay. stuff i thought other wouldn't want turned out to sell and sure enought i made about 500. this got me thinking- two years later i've bumped up my incoming money monthly by selling vintage boots and clothes. unlike new stuff, poeple tend to bid more for something that there is only one of. i fish around for vintage boots, costing between 5-20.00 from anywhere and everywhere and usually make a least 40.00 -50.00 (net = about 30.00 each). this is a nice sum if you sell several at the same time. this is also ideal since you can do it in your own time (list items when you want ), the only time you may have to set aside is posting them but since the the post office is open monday to friday 9-5 and saturday as well it shouldn't be an issue. as far as what sells on ebay, i keep up with the new 'treands' by searching key words and seeing whats getting bid on and how much.

have a look! hope this helps

Thank you - thugulike, cleversod & Suze_ for your comments and suggestions they are gratefully received.............I have had the new ruling explained to me at work and understand why I cannot be offered any extra hours without the Level 2/3 qualification but my "Boss" wanted me to cover a session because there were no "Qualified" staff to cover it last week so she HAD to ask me because there was no-one else - and THAT got my back up obviously, I am good enough when they are desperate and she can bend the "Rules" when it suits but am not good enough to cover extra shifts for maternity cover etc.!!! I obviously said I did not want to cover the session as I was just being used. The situation now is that I had been offered 1 extra 2 and a half hour shift as long as I start my Level 2 and frankly I have said no, I don't think it is worth the extra stress/work involved for 2 and a half hours at NMW. Cutting off my nose despite my face I know but I have got some morals unlike others!!!! I am looking into all your suggestions asap. Thank you.
