My doctor gave me a poroxide cream to treat spots. Has anyone tried this before? Did it work? What kind of effect did it have on your skin?

I'm using it at the moment. It has worked wonders for my spots but has left the skin around them a little dry and flaky. Make sure you moisturise loads to prevent this.
Is it benzoyl peroxide? I have used it for years, very effective for me but it can make your skin very dry.

Oh good, I'm pleased to hear it works well. Do you have to use it religously every day for it to take affect? What kind of moisturiser do you use?

(yes I think it is Benzoyl peroxide).
I use it regularly. I find that if I stop, I do get flare ups. I use Clinique soothing moisturiser for upset skin. But I only use it at night as it is quite heavy.
I tend to use the benzoyl peroxide overnight, and moisturise through the day (Loreal Hydrafresh). I dont stop using it as I know I will get flare ups if I do.

Great. Thanks for your answers! I'll invest in some decent moisturiser tomorrow.
