When and how should a yucca plant be cut back please

If it's getting too big, it can be sawn back to about 50% of it's height or to approx 18" up from the base. It should start to sprout lower down the stem and hopefully just below your saw cut/s in 3 - 4 weeks. Some people cover to cut ends for a few days with tissue paper, fastened with an elastic band to staunch exessive sap flow.
