agree JD
i tend to put things like
correct answers given 2 thanks 0
etc make sme feel better,
I have had people reply saying they thanked at the beginning
I say we do not know if they have even looke at the answer if they do not give stars or a simple thanks, it does not cost anything after all.
same applies when i sell a book on Amazon, I send an e mail saying book will be in tomorrows post do they say thanks or let me kbow it has arrived? What do you think?

I started to keep a list of folks who didn't reply to answers given, but unfortunately lost the list. Some of the names cropped up so often I do have them in my head and won't answer their questions any more. Mind you, my answers are not always correct but I'd even like to know that much.
Thank you for letting me sound off.
I have long since given up on expecting people to say thank you .I always acknowledge an answer if I ask a question in here .
In fact I have long since given up bothering to even look back at a lot of the questions I have answered in Q&P .If they thank me ,they do ,if they don't.... I can't worry about it ..They are the ones with the bad manners, not me.The only threads I look back at are ones on the rest of AB that I am involved in ..I can't be bothered to trawl through this lot to see if someone has said thanks for a one word answer !
Mind you if people are being grumpy then I will give them an answer !
But on the whole I try not to involve myself in here too much....then you don't get too miffed .
Answer and go is my motto !
This has been mentioned several times in the past Jammydodgem....don't think you will change some people!! Just try and remember who they are and don't answer....but you can bet somebody else will!!!!
I try to remember to say thank you, but get so caught up in the xword that I may forget - the" rate this answer" option has now gone. To all of you whio help me, I would like to say a big thank you. x
I think I will maybe stop looking back at questions I've answered, I wont be able to get miffed then. Easier said that done, as I'm already drawn to looking at yesterdays answers!!
i appreciate all the hard work done and have absent mindedly forgotten to post a thanks many apologies. i do also try to help out with answers if i can. thanks to all and keep up the great site
Agreed, JD. A little courtesy costs nothing and goes a long way. (Though I confess to finding it a bit of an addictive ego trip to be able to post an answer, and actually to be FIRST . . . Wow! If only!)
