No Tax
I'm thinking of buying a car i've seen at a garage which doesn't have any road tax at the moment. If i buy it is it illegal to drive it home with no tax? And surely i'll have to wait for my new insurance certificate to come through before i can get it taxed? Could the garage buy tax for it or would they not have insurance on the car so not be able to do it?

If your broker is local - you can pick it up from them or your company can post it to you. It all takes a couple of days and the garage would not have the car immediately ready for you in any event - they usually take a few days to valet, tax - MOT and make sure you're legal.
