Does anybody have any details on how you go about declaring yourself bankrupt , what the process is and what happens after?

Hi, I have just gone bankrupt on 14/05/07. If you still need help, click on the link that The Prophet provided and complete forms 6.27 and 6.28. For my court in Portsmouth, it was a walk in service. Hand over your 2 forms and pay �485, they will give you a receipt for the cash paid. I went back in the aft, did not see the judge as my case was straight forward. They gave me a copy of the 2 forms I had completed and form 6.30 to say I was offically bankrupt. I actually spoke to the Official Receiver that day, just a few questions. After a couple of weeks they will send you a letter to contact them, think its to go over the finer points, eg who you owe to etc and tell you how much you will be paying per month for 3 years. PLEASE log everything you pay out on the 6.28, eg pet food, vets, chiropractic, dentist etc. Good luck.
