Contact Lenses "inside out"

How do you make sure you don't put your contact lenses in "inside out" . As mine are so thin its hard to tell the right way to put them in!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.thats the way its meant to be done - i found it easiest to let them dry off a little on the finger before inspecting as when you first get them out the solution they are just very floppy (then i'd just drop a little solution back onto them before sticking them in)

Another method I use is to dry them off a bit and then set them in the crease on my hand just under my little finger.
I then slightly close my hand so that the lens doubles over on itself. If it is inside out, the edges will flair out, if it is the right way round, the lens rolls in to form the shape of a taco, like in this picture:

It's an absolute pain in the ar5e. I cant tell whether i'm looking at a saucer or a cup, so I've rejected all the much more economical brands in favour of Johnsons daily acu-vues which have a 123 embossed on them which will only read right if they're the right way round. I pay dearly for this little detail but it's the only way for me!
